Vet consultations

Book an appointment to see a vet or nurse

Consultations are by appointment only, and you can view our opening times and contact details here. If your pet is ill, we will always try to see you as soon as possible, and we prioritise emergencies.

Consultations with a vet

During a vet consultation, our vet will take a clinical history – this means listening to why you’ve brought your pet to the practice and gathering all relevant details. After this, they’ll perform a thorough physical examination of your pet. Once the vet has reviewed their findings, they’ll explain the next steps, which could involve prescribing treatments or arranging further tests.

Treatment plan

Our vets will listen carefully to your concerns and explain what may be needed to diagnose and treat your pet’s condition. They’re here to support you in making decisions about your pet’s care. We value a personal approach and continuity of care, so we’ll always try to schedule follow-up appointments with the same vet wherever possible.

Further treatment

If your pet’s illness is more complex, our first-opinion vets may refer you to one of our referral clinicians. These specialist vets have additional veterinary qualifications and offer advanced diagnostics and treatments in areas such as imaging, internal medicine, oncology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery.
